French EBA250 conference

After Sweden, Spain, and soon Germany, EBA250 goes now to France. Organised by Bpifrance, ADEME and InnoEnergy, the event will take place on 28 May in Paris and will be dedicated to the ambitions and strategies of the French industry within the battery storage field.

In just a few years, batteries have established themselves as the leading technology for transport electrification and stationary storage applications. World demand for batteries is booming and will increase over the next decade. Europe is lagging behind in manufacturing cells and battery modules, but have important assets to launch an ambitious strategy in this key  and strategic area of the future.

France and Germany recently announced some important initiatives in that field, unveiling a multibillion-euro alliance to develop batteries for electric vehicles. At this occasion, Bruno Le Maire, the French finance Minister, declared that such an initiative “shows Europe is not fated to depend on technological imports from the two powers that are the United States and China”.

Then this conference will demonstrate that being ambitious on batteries is possible and that projects emerge all along the value chain, notably in France.
