Battery Ecosystem Accelerator Of Norway kick-off meeting

BEACON – Battery Ecosystem ACcelerator Of Norway – is an exciting new initiative to support a thriving battery ecosystem in Norway.

Bringing together leaders from research, small and medium enterprises, and industry, investors and public authorities, BEACON serves as a gathering place to exchange R&I advances, funding opportunities, and inter-disciplinary networking. It gives Norwegian enterprises and networks such as the Maritime Battery Forum, the opportunity to grow their activities while utilising European networks to expand internationally. BEACON will support Norwegian stakeholders to benefit from association with new European organisations like the European Battery Alliance (EBA), Batteries Europe ETIP and Battery2030+, and through these actions, we aim to establish Norway as a global leader in every link of the battery value chain.

Activities will kick-off at the inaugural BEACON meeting on June 18, 2019 at the Britannia Hotel in Trondheim.  The meeting will gather stakeholders from across the Norwegian battery industry, and attendees will benefit from the chance to:

• Network with industry and research leaders from the European Battery Alliance (EBA)
• Learn about upcoming funding opportunities and SME financing programs
• Boost your organisation’s visibility and meet other stakeholders
• Discuss the activities of the biggest battery R&I activities in Europe (e.g. Battery2030+)
• Help establish the vision for the future of battery development, exploitation, and recycling in Norway
