Batteries for electric cars: fact check and answers to the most important questions about electric mobility
It is fundamental for the battery industry to understand the impact of the fast growing European battery industry.
Fraunhofer ISI has recently made a Policy Brief which was presented at the Battery Forum Germany in Berlin in January. The main conclusion is that there is nothing to prevent a broad market diffusion of electric cars between 2020 and 2030+, but there are still numerous challenges to be tackled.
What is the environmental footprint of electric cars? How will the range, economy and charging infrastructure develop in the long term? Does electromobility lead to job losses?
