Hungarian Battery Day

Hungarian Battery Day

The Hungarian Battery Day is an international conference for reviewing the opportunities and challenges faced by the stakeholders of the fast developing Hungarian battery industry. This exclusive event will launch a new government action plan to develop the Hungarian battery value chain in the context of Hungary’s 2050 net zero climate objective.

The conference will discuss the implementation challenges of the action plan by bringing together high level policymakers, leading industrial partners and quality academic institutions. It will begin with a high-level plenary session addressed by, among others, Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight, and Prof. Dr. László Palkovics, Hungarian Minister for Innovation and Technology. The rest of the conference is organised around four thematic sessions:

  • Regulatory framework and policies supporting the growth of a European Battery industry
  • “Invented VS. made in Hungary” – what is the key to success in developing the Hungarian battery value chain?
  • How to mitigate import dependence on critical raw materials for batteries?
  • World class car and battery industries in Hungary: parallel or mutually reinforcing stories?

The Hungarian Battery Day will be held physically for a unique opportunity to extend your network in this exciting, future oriented industry. Organised in cooperation with Hotel Intercontinental Budapest that has received the “Covid 19 Kontroll Plusz” accreditation, the highest level of service & safety measures in the current pandemic of Covid 19 will be ensured. Opportunity to follow the conference online will be also given to all registered participants.
