Digital Conference on Industrial Technologies 2020 – “Transition to Sustainable Prosperity”

Industrial technologies play a key role in the European industry. They provide essential foundations for the competitiveness of the European Union, shape all sectors of the economy and contribute to the solution of societal challenges and a sustainable future.

The digital conference “Industrial Technologies 2020 – Transition to Sustainable Prosperity” will take place under the auspices of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 27th – 28th October 2020.

This event is organised by:

  • The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
  • Project Management Jülich (PtJ)

together with:

  • The European Commission (EU-COM)
  • The German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology DECHEMA e.V.
  • Project Management Karlsruhe (PTKA)
  • VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH (VDI-TZ)

IndTech2020 provides a platform for stakeholders from research organisations, industry and policy-making to discuss future trends, technological challenges and the further steps required in order to shape and strengthen future European industrial and research policy in the field of key enabling technologies such as nanotechnologies, advanced materials, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing under the considerations of socially fair transition to a sustainable and green economy.

Furthermore, the impacts and positive effects by 2030 and 2050 of the presented technologies and processes will be considered and discussed.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the advisory board and the organizing committee we are delighted to invite you to the “IndTech 2020 – Transition to Sustainable Prosperity” conference. Together with you we want to discuss future developments, exchange information and strengthen the collaboration across Europe. A special focus is put on thematic priorities like battery technologies, biologically-inspired innovation, manufacturing technologies, low carbon and circular economy.
