Northvolt secures environmental permits for extended operations
Northvolt has received a second environmental permit from the Land and Environment Court in Umeå, Sweden, which marks an important step towards the European battery cell production.
The permit is an extension of the one granted in June 2018 to allow increased operational capacity from 8 GWh to 16 GWh at the large-scale battery manufacturing facility.
