Swedish high-level EBA250 conference
Warm welcome to the first EBA250 conference taking place in Sweden and dedicated to the role of Sweden in the European battery ecosystem.
An industrial race is underway in the wake of the ever-faster energy system transition. Batteries are at the center of this transition. In this context, batteries are a necessary enabler to a much greater extent than Europe can produce today. Within the framework of the European Battery Alliance, InnoEnergy Scandinavia has been given a central role in the work to create the conditions for the development of complete battery value chain in Europe.
With this conference we want to invite important local key players to a discussion on how Sweden should contribute to the development of Europe’s battery industry.
Conditions are good. Sweden has access to raw materials, low cost and green electricity, expertise as well as policy instruments that promote continued electrification with high environmental requirements. In addition, many strong Swedish players are active along the entire battery value chain, from mining to production of active materials, complete battery cells, battery packs and of course, applications in the automotive industry as well as in the power system all the way to sustainable recycling. More powerful and coordinated efforts are however required to successfully accomplish the ongoing electrification of society.
The purpose of the day is to create discussions that lead to concrete steps forward in how Sweden should strengthen its position in the European ecosystem for batteries.
