The Race for Green Talent

Welcome to the webinar “The Race for Green Talent” on Tuesday 12 April, 16:00-16:45 CET.

New projects across the battery value chain have already attracted more than €60 billion in investments and are expected to create between 3 and 4 million direct and indirect jobs over the next few years. This means that a staggering 800,000 workers would have to be trained, upskilled, or reskilled by 2025 to meet this demand. The race for green talent has well and truly begun.

With speakers from the European Commission, EIT InnoEnergy, and various industries, we will dive deep into:

  1. The EU’s pan-European skills agenda;
  2. The impact of green talent shortages and the need for companies to plug this skills gap;
  3. The challenges industry has and continues to face as it strives to plug the skills gap;
  4. The different approaches to consider or employ to get ahead in the race for green talent; and
  5. Case studies of companies who have already entered the race for green talent and what it means for them.

We will also briefly introduce you to the EBA Academy, our coordinated, pan-European effort to upskill and reskill key workers across the continent. If this sounds interesting, please register for the webinar and save the date in your diary. More detailed information about the speakers will be shared with all registered participants closer to the event date.
